A reminder:

“A musician must make music, an artist must paint, a poet must write, if he is to be ultimately at peace with himself. What a man can be, he must be” – Abraham Maslow

Be what you can be today. Today officially feels like spring and from what I can tell, everyone around here is pretty excited by it.

Ruins | Tulum, Mexico

More proof of why 2013 rocked.

Mayan ruins in Tulum.

The other afternoon I attempted to make sense of more photos and get organized. These came up and I wanted to share a little more of Mexico and remember the absolute beauty of this place. I visited the ruins on a day it was incredibly sun-soaked (*entirely different than it is today in NC).

I’m beyond happy and grateful I had opportunities to see and experience places (*like this) in 2013 and I’m excited to see what the new year brings.

I hope and plan to travel (*often) and continue to take far too many photos for my own good.

Love + Strength | Love + Courage

Arianna + Mau’s wedding was beautiful in every way. These two are so incredibly in love and their wedding weekend was simply magical.

More of Ari + Mau’s wedding in Mexico coming soon!

On the days we work in the field, life looks a bit like this. . .

Work in this heat isn’t easy (especially when everything is on fire), but on good days, the Nepali army even comes to help.

We have created a song about sweat (tato pascina)  and sing it with the kiddos here, who also come to help as we work. . .

What life looks like these days

Bright. Beautiful. Big.

Our days are full of adventures -> in a new place -> in a new language -> in the heat -> in fields -> in forests . . .

And I couldn’t ask for much more than that right now.

“I carry your heart with me (I carry it in my heart)I am never without it (anywhere
I go you go,my dear; and whatever is done by only me is your doing,my darling)
I fear no fate (for you are my fate,my sweet)I want no world (for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it’s you are whatever a moon has always meant and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows
higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that’s keeping the stars apart

I carry your heart (I carry it in my heart)” – e. e. Cummings
