Lindsey + Jesse | Durham, NC

Lindsey and Jesse were married in their backyard in Durham one beautiful Saturday afternoon in late August.

Lindsey told me they were getting married in their backyard, and I honestly did not know what to expect. When I pulled up to their home, I was entirely blown away. From the chickens, to the gardens, and the perfect late summer light, Lindsey and Jesse’s backyard was a magical and perfect place to have a wedding!

I felt honored to be present on their special day. These two love fully and it is evident in everything they do.

I’m so happy these two found each other and share a love like this.

No Stopping Me

“The devil works off of idle minds and idle minds are his workshop. So therefore, I try to keep mine idled-up. That’s the reason I have so many hobbies and so many little jobs. It is because I have to stay busy.” – Kelly Wilkins

Back in May, I was involved in a documentary workshop in Eastern, NC.

Over the course of just one week, I worked on this piece and am happy to share it with you now!

In addition to this story, make sure you check out all the other videos on the workshop’s website here.

Lauren + Adam‘s wedding this weekend was entirely them – fun, beautiful, and full of life.

They got married at St. Mark’s Church in Burlington and had a gorgeous, sunny reception at the Hayloft in McLeansville.

I’m in the process of working on their wedding video and will share the final product soon in addition to Lindsey + Jesse’s video from their backyard wedding in Durham last weekend!

Lessons Learned | How not to nap

IMG_3503

Yesterday, I didn’t learn to nap.

I tried, but I just didn’t work out well.

I did learn about Lobster though so that’s something.

Happy Fall and happy anniversary to TT and Juju! (* I don’t know what number this is, but thanks for loving each other this long and for loving your four kiddos a lot. I like you both very, very much!)

Celebrating fall this way –>

Essentially, I’m just ready for it all.

And for this season of rich colors, cool rain, and sweaters.

Plus:

+ See. Hitchcock-inspired photos by Nicola Kuperus.
