Hello spring // welcome madness

IMG_8193

I tend to forget that with the spring weather and excitement comes a good deal of madness too. Lately, I just have to keep telling myself this is all a part of the journey. The worry and concerns have been overwhelming, but at least the  fun times have seemed much brighter than they normally do in light of everything.

As I mentioned in the last post, a lot in my life has seemed to be in a state of transition, but good things are happening and I’m excited to share new photos and memories soon. For now, enjoy the madness.

goodbye november. . .

hello december!

just where did the month go?

. . .

“november comes
and november goes,
with the last red berries
and the first white snows.

with night coming early,
and dawn coming late,
and ice in the bucket
and frost by the gate.

the fires burn
and the kettles sing,
and earth sinks to rest
until next spring.”

. . .

it is hard to believe this time last year, i was back home working four jobs and packing for new zealand. how has it already been year?

i feel content here and i’ve been enjoying seeing just where the days take me. . . but, i still plan trips to mexico, indonesia, india, nepal, and uganda every moment of free time i get. . .  i am off to go talk to a study abroad adviser now and just received this little line from kandyce

“we need a tour guide in kathmandu. it doesn’t pay well, but it’s good company. let us know when to expect you.”

 if only i could!
have a happy december! enjoy being where you are right now.
